Monsters are real ghosts are real too they live inside us and sometimes they win ( Stephen king)
Its is crystal clear that horror movies effects the mind and physical health of childrens. Many negative
effects are caused by the horror movies the effects may include anxiety, phobia, Sleeplessness, mental
traumatic and change in behaviour. But one symptom can only be positive which is desensitization.
In the field of psychology desensitization is a process or treatment to diminish emotional responsiveness
to a negative while giving repeated exposure to it.
We are currently living in a new golden age of horror as our real world becomes even more terrifying
filmmakers have stepped up their games to use horror as way to analyze the nightmare of our off screen
lives.

What Causes nightmares?
No one knows exactly what causes nightmare. Dreams and nightmares seems to be one way kids
process thoughts and feelings about situations they face and to work through worries and concerns.

Some may happen when child has stress or is dealing with a change. Events or situations that might feel
unsettling--Such as moving, attending a new school, the birth of a sibling, or family tensions-- might be
reflected in unsettling dreams.

Sometime nightmare are part of a child's reaction to trauma such a natural disaster, accident, or injury.
For some kids, especially those with a good imagination, reading scary books or watching movies or TV
shows just before bedtime can inspire nightmares.

Sometimes a nightmare has recognizable bits and pieces of the days events and experiences, but with a
Scary twist. A child might not remember every detail, but can usually recall some of the images,
characters, or situations, and the scary parts.

Horror movies can cause a wide variety of side-effects, depending on the individual. One of the most
noticeable side-effect is sleeplessness. People may have trouble sleeping or toss fitfully all night due to
the residual fear and anxiety from watching a scary movie. I would assume [ watching horror movies]
effect sleep, especially if there is something in the movie that could trigger past trauma, said Edina high
school psychologist Samantha bialozynski. Another noticeable side-effect is anxiety. The severity and
longevity of the anxiety entirely depend on the individual. However according to a research study done
at the university of Wisconsin. Madison, children under 14 who watched horror movies and up having
increased Chances of developing anxiety conditions later in adulthood. This is because fear experienced
when watching is stored in the amygdala a part of the bran responsible for generating emotions. These
now-adult cannot conjure up the memory without inciting trauma and fear other potentially long-term
and dangerous effects include "paranoia, irrigational fear, interest in the paranormal or demonology
things that are not psychological healthy for the mind"
Said Mathers. However the occurrence and intensity of these effects all depend on the individual. For
example if a person was in a serious car accident, a movie such as "final Destination 2" would be very
dangerous for the person's mental health "personal experiences would definitely determine how
significant side-effect become" said Bialozynski.

Yet there is one side-effect psychologist can agree is not entirely harmful desensitization
For example, if you were afraid of clowns, then exposure to horror movies about clowns may help ease
your fear because you are being continuously exposed to it." Desensitization to violence and other
things that may [ accur] when with watching movies "

Both Mather's and bialozynski suggest that if a person experiences negative conditions after watching
horror movies then they should stay away. The negative effects could lead to something more
significant and dangerous. However, if you do not and " seen as an interest but is not going to influence
them in a negative way , then they could watch them ".

I watched the saw movie and the effects still experiencing today. I am feeling anxiety and mild headache
and a unknown feeling which I am feeling so bad. It would be better if I not watches this movie

Danger doesnt lurk at every corner. Its just hanging out,
Waiting for fear and horror to show up
