Suleman Mirani A sign of dignity
"Dignity does not come in possessing
honors, but in deserving them"
We have seen many people who have struggled and have achieved their
goals in their life and there is no doubt that Suleman Mirani is one of them.
Suleman Mirani was born on 25 April 1965 in RehmatPur Larkana and
belonged to a poor family his father was a driver.
He got his primary education from RehmatPur School Larkana in 1975 and
secondary education from Government Pilot School Larkana in 1980 then he
completed his intermediate from higher degree college Larkana in 1982.
After completion of intermediate he decided to work to meet his
expenses and to help his family so he started to work as a waiter at hotel
which was near to the treasury office Larkana where his pay was only 5 rupees ,
along with working he completed his bachelor in commerce.
Once he was on his work and went to treasury office to serve tea to
the clerks suddenly he saw a newspaper and took it and read advertisement’s so
one of the clerks suggested him to fill the form and give test of clerk in
treasury office so he filled the form and gave test and qualified it with the
flying colors and appointed as a clerk in 1983 in the same office where he used
to serve tea.
After couple of years he gave departmental test and again he qualified
it and appointed as a district accountant officer on 1st February 2006.
Moreover, he had keen interest in playing cricket and he started
playing cricket in 1977 when he was in 7th class and joined Al-Shabazz Larkana
team in 1982 and became captain of the team in 1984 and also played on national
level and won a trophy.
In 1996, it was the unfortunate day of his life when he met an
accident and got paralyzed his left side, doctors warned him not to play
cricket otherwise you will die at the same moment but in spite of that he
played and now he is a coach of Al-Shabazz cricket team Larkana.
In 1983 he became a member of Shabazz social welfare office and after
two years in 1985 he became a chairman.
He said that by doing social work I get relief in spite of whatever
difficulties I face.
Further he said that 2010 was very difficult year due to flood and it
was very difficult for me to provide food and household things to the needy
ones but whatever I could do I did.
According to people who know him: ''Suleman Mirani is the real example
of hard work and he is the sign of dignity and he is the person who is
multi-talented and he never felt shy by doing lower job but he did hard work
and reached on exalted position and proved himself.''
Further he told: ''The happiest moment of his life is when he won a
trophy and Benazir Bhutto presented him that trophy and the worst day of life
is when doctors prohibited him for playing cricket.''
Suleman Mirani said that whenever I recall that once I was a waiter
and clerks' behavior was not good with me but now they work in my under as a clerk
so my eyes just burst into tears.
He gave a message for the youth is that "Life is a struggle if
you work hard you will achieve your goal in spite of hardships you face, if you
work hard and make yourself able then there is no need to find a job but jobs
will find you.''
It’s very difficult for us to find these type of people who contribute
to the society by their hard struggles and reach on exalted position without
any source but with the help of their own hard work so we should appreciate
their efforts and contributions and should learn from them that how they turned
their dreams into reality.
''To be able to live each day with honor,
respect and dignity is the greatest achievement of all.''
